Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Kamras Kahani is a demo blog. This policy explains what little data the site handles and how. In plain terms: there are no accounts, and we don't run any tracking or advertising.
1. Information we collect
Kamras Kahani does not require you to sign up or log in, and we do not collect personal information on a server. The only data the app keeps lives locally in your own browser:
- Comments you post on articles (your name is optional)
- Article view counts for posts you open
- Preferences such as your light/dark theme choice
This information is stored in your browser's localStorageand never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.
2. Third-party services
When you use the in-article translation feature, the selected text is sent to the MyMemory translation API to return a translation. No identifying information is attached to those requests. If you never use the translation dropdown, no text is sent anywhere.
3. Cookies & tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. Your reading activity is not profiled or shared.
4. Your rights
Because all of your data stays on your device, you are fully in control. You can delete your comments from any article, and clearing your browser storage erases everything the site has saved.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
